Ombré cakes have been on trend for numerous years now. From ocean themed cakes, to princess pink cakes, the layers of colors are always stunning. Ombré, meaning 'shaded' in French, is the gradual blending of one color into another. Usually, the shading moves from light (top) to dark (bottom). In this hands-on cake decorating class, we will make an ombré candy corn cake, shading from white, to orange to yellow. Each guest will receive a 3 layer, 6" buttercream yellow cake to decorate and bring home. *This class includes wine.

One of the most notable American desserts is the Key Lime Pie. This pie is said to have originated in Key West, Florida, in the late 19th century. With fresh milk being widely unavailable due to lack of refrigeration, the pie uses minimal ingredients, including sweetened condensed milk which comes in a can. In this virtual class we will make the graham crust, make the key lime custard, and bake the pie.

EACH KIT INCLUDES INGREDIENTS TO MAKE ONE 8” PIE

The end of summer is here, and school is about to begin. We want our littles to be ready to enter the new school year confident and with a new skill in hand to share with their friends and family. Chef Stephanie and Chef Michael Paoletti are inviting kids entering Kindergarten up to those who just finished Second Grade (5 years to 8 years old) for a full week of culinary camp. As Junior Chefs we will learn how to make some classic family favorites, as well as an accompanying sweet item! Kids will come home at the end of the week with recipes to keep, a homemade lunch to share with loved ones, and basic kitchen knowledge.

Our Mission is in Motion once again!! This time we will be at Prep By KUG in Ocean Springs!

We are thrilled to have Prep By KUG owner, Kristin Grizzard, welcome us to her shop for a clean eating demonstration and introduction to paleo compliant meals (free from dairy, grains, and soy). This is a hands-on class where guests will make their own Poke (pronounced po-kay; Hawaiian word for slice or cut) bowl, one of the main dishes of traditional native Hawaiian cuisine. All the ingredients will be locally sourced, with ahi (pronounced ah-hee; Hawaiian word for yellowtail tuna) supplied by South Coast Seafood Company in Ocean Springs.

This event was SOLD OUT last year, so get your tickets soon for this class where you will enjoy good company and good, healthy food with wine included. Come hungry!!

With Mardi Gras, or Carnivale, being a major celebration in Brazil, it was only fitting to recreate the tradition Brazilian caipirinha cocktail, but with a purple flare to fit the theme…and maybe even some edible glitter!!

Moon pies are not only delicious, but they are also a favorite to throw into the crowds from a parade float during Mardi Gras season. Though popular during Mardi Gras, these treats originated in Chattanooga, Tennessee before venturing down south. This class will talk a bit about the history of moon pies while giving you the step-by-step process to making your own marshmallow fluff, graham cookie, and chocolate glaze.
