Art In Nature Summer Camp: June 17 - June 21

Students aged 7-11 will spend the week with Ms. Carmen focusing on integrating the natural world into their artwork. They will gather objects from the trails to use as drawing and painting tools, create eco prints using natural pigments from leaves and fruits, make handmade paper, and hike the nature trails, and keep a sketchbook inspired by the world around us. A fantastic (and fun!)  way to integrate  the local flora and fauna into art education.

Abstract Painting Camp for Tweens and Teens: 3 - day mini camp June 24-June 26

In this three day mini course, students ages 11-15 will discuss both composition and color while learning a variety of techniques to produce their own abstract acrylic and mixed media work. Perfect for students wanting to use their creative freedom to create an original piece of art.  Instructor will provide all supplies as well as Bristol paper to work on, but students may bring their own canvas if desired.

2024 Theater Summer Camp: James and the Giant Peach

We are so thrilled to be hosted by the Pascagoula-Gautier school district again, and this year for James and the Giant Peach!!! Students aged 7-14 will learn the ins and outs of live, stage performance with professional lighting and sound. We embrace a nurturing and supportive approach where all campers have an active on-stage role in the show, although we do welcome backstage campers who want to learn the ins and outs of costuming, set design, sound, etc - just please note that in your registration. This camp is always a highlight of the summer for our young patrons AND their parents. Carpooling from Ocean Springs will be available!

Painting for Kids Summer Camp: July 8 - July 12

Children ages 7-11 will be introduced to a whole new set of artists this week, focusing on influential modern and contemporary artists, and create their own paintings and projects based on the styles of these incredible artists. Students will also be provided a notebook and examples of work, so that they may record notes, and ideas to help them learn more about these art dynamos, and log their own creative ideas! (Age 6 welcome, but very light writing involved)

Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program. It teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge, how to listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance to a youth who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and service.

2023 Theater Summer Camp: ANNIE

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! Pusharatas are traditional a Yugoslavian pastry that is similar to a small fried donut that's filled with fruit and covered with a powdered-sugar glaze.

Students will first learn to make cup forms using a bisque fired mold, then create and connect handles, and lastly decorate the mug as they desire. Students will have access to all of the tools required to come up with any design their creative mind can imagine. The mugs will be kiln fired for food safety and available for pick up a week after class. This class is for ages 10 and up - minors must be accompanied by an adult.
